What's the process for proposing and getting approval from your land manager for your volunteer trail improvement project? What documentation and environmental review will be necessary? What impact could wetlands, snakes and other site conditions have on the process?

Senior Trail Builder Ben Sugar will help answer these questions to set you up for success with this informative course-- from concept to proposal, review and implementation, this virtual course is designed to help participants learn what’s required to work with land managers in carrying out projects to improve their trails. While volunteers working on trail improvements to NYS Park Land in the Taconic or Palisades Regions would most benefit from this course, much of what will be taught will be applicable in other jurisdictions.

An hour is scheduled for this workshop, but it could be shorter or longer depending on how many questions and how much discussion takes place.
